Prayer: The Ultimate Lifestyle
Psalm 46:5 (NIV) states, “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.”
Developing a consistent prayer routine can truly bring warmth and deeper meaning to your daily life. Setting aside time to read God’s Word and strengthen your prayer practice can be a powerful support during challenges and uncertain times. Keep in mind, God has a special plan for each of us. As Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) lovingly reminds us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
As a mother of a child with unique abilities, my prayer life brings me comfort and peace. I’ve learned that my strength doesn’t come from myself but from the Lord, God Himself. Taking time to connect with my Heavenly Father truly makes a positive difference in my life and in how I approach each challenge.
God knows I will never be perfect, but strengthened by His grace and love for me, I sincerely desire to live more like Jesus.
Take time each day to pray and immerse yourself in His Word. Create a cozy spot to connect with your Heavenly Father, perhaps at your coffee table or in a quiet corner of your kitchen. Prepare your space the night before by gathering your Bible, devotional, journal, and favorite mug. This small preparation can lead to a beautiful, heartfelt moment with God over a warm cup of coffee or tea.
Remember, He longs for you to draw near, so cherish this special time, and consider adding it to your daily schedule. I find great encouragement in John 15:4 (NLT): “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.”
If your children wake up early during your special time with God, consider playing a faith-based show like The Daily Devo Show to gently introduce them to God’s Word. Older children can begin their own prayer routines with age-appropriate devotionals. As parents, modeling a prayerful life is so important. When we demonstrate and enjoy an active prayer life, our children are more likely to develop the same habits. They watch us and learn how to build their own meaningful spiritual rhythms.
Integrating prayer into your daily life helps create a lasting, prayerful lifestyle, one that can grow and produce beautiful fruit. Remember Psalm 46:5: “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.” This verse beautifully highlights God’s presence and support, especially in the morning.
God invites us to spend time with Him at the start of each day because He knows how much we need Him. Sweet friend, God loves you deeply and is always with you.
Have you thought about how to make prayer a regular part of your life? What might that look like for you and your family?
Praying for you and with you!
With love,
